CHANGE THE EVIL YOU SEE

On Sunday 30-9-2018 , the worshippers praised the Lord of heaven and earth, creating an atmosphere of faith and hope, while the wonderful testimonies given by the people, exemplified what God had done in their lives which was proof that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Following, evangelist Stavros Michailidis gave a message of encouragement to the congregation called “CHANGE THE EVIL YOU SEE”. He urged the people of God to choose do the right thing, no matter what others choose to do! He mentioned that many of us today have a “talent” that can locate and make comments on the mistakes of those around us. However, we are not willing to do something in order to rectify the mistakes we see. He emphasized that as children of God our success and joy depends on our willingness to solve the problem of someone in need. Therefore, instead of judging what others do, we must choose to do the right thing, because just one positive example can have a positive influence and this is motivation for success.

On account of the story in Luke 10:25-37 which spoke of the good Samaritan that was the only one who helped his fellow man, the evangelist claimed that there are three categories of Christians today. The first category is the Christians who make things happen; they are always ready to act, because Jesus has the main place in their hearts, they are serious in mind and know that life is war! The second category is those who see things happening, but when the time comes to act, they cross their hands and wait for others to react. Therefore, they are Christians admittedly, but not in the heart, just as the priest and the Levite were in the story of the good Samaritan. Finally, the third category is Christians who wonder what happened and are always out of place and time! In this category are the busy Christians who run to God only when they are in need. In summary, the evangelist emphasized that as God’s children we will not only be judged for the mistakes we made, but we will be judged for all the times we knew the right thing to do and did not do it. We must, therefore, remember the example of the good Samaritan, who did the good to change the evil he saw. He did not postpone his responsibility for another moment, but he acted immediately because he saw his contribution to others as a mission given to him by God Himself! So, we too, must use the good things we have in our hands now, to change the evil we see today!

On 30-9-2018, Mr. Stephanos Michailidis, resident of Giannitsa came to the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations Thessalonica, to thank God for the professional breakthrough he received for his life. Mr. Stefanos had been facing the problem of unemployment for six whole months. This led him to decide to get a third-level professional driving license, in hopes that it would give him a professional outlet. In order to get this license, with which he could drive trucks as a living, he sold his car to cover the expenses he needed. However, the fact that he obtained such a license was not enough to provide him with a position as a driver because he lacked the necessary experience.

He therefore decided to bring his problem to God’s able hands, and so he visited the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, where the man of God Harry, prayed for his case and touched the certification while Mr. Stephanos participated in the prayer line. Within one week he was informed by an acquaintance of his, that they will bear all costs of extending his driver’s license from third category to fourth and fifth category license, allowing him to drive buses and tractor-trailer trucks. On the same day he acquired the driving licenses, he received a phone call from a well-known person who offered him a job at a company. Although he did not have any experience, this company offered him a test drive with a tractor-trailer. After the test, in which Mr. Stephanos had great stress because he drove such a vehicle for the first time in his life, the company hired him! Indeed, “Where God leads, He provides and protects!”. The genuine willingness of Mr. Stephanos in combination with God’s ability was enough to bring the desired result into his life. By choosing to trust God, he left behind every anxiety and fear in the name of Jesus Christ. In fact, he started to operate within routes from Thessaloniki to Athens and vice versa, which many drivers avoid due to the difficulties of this route. A touch from heaven changed the course of his professional life! His joy, but also his family’s, is indescribable after this amazing intervention of God in his life. His new job provides a very good salary, which without losing time he bought a new car! 

What seems to be impossible in the eyes of man, is possible for God. Never, doubt God’s ability to help you, whatever your problem is. Trust God and He will act at the appointed time and make a way where there seems to be no way!
