CORRECT YOUR FOCUS

The Sunday service began in a mighty way, with glorious hymns that filled the people of God with excitement, showing their enthusiasm and gratitude to the one and only Lord of Lords and King of Kings!

The service continued with great interest, as the man of God Stavros hit a nerve by bringing a very up-to-date message, entitled “CORRECT YOUR FOCUS”.

He began his message by saying that in a world of distractions, it is very easy to get off-course and lose your focus. Losing focus is the real reason why people today fail, he stressed.

Then, wanting to elaborate on the issue of focusing, he read from the book of Numbers 13:1-3, 25-33, “The Lord said to Moses, ‘Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders.’ So at the Lord’s command Moses sent them out from the Desert of Paran. All of them were leaders of the Israelites. At the end of forty days they returned from exploring the land. They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. They gave Moses this account: ‘We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.’ Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, ‘We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.’ But the men who had gone up with him said, ‘We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.’ And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, ‘The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.’”

The twelve spies saw the Promised Land, that it was good and abundant. Ten of them saw some things that caused them fear, and they lost their focus, thus poisoning the faith of the people of Israel. When we lose our focus because of the voice of our situation, all we will see around us is danger and dead-ends, concluded the man of God.

Many Christians today have put an end to their dreams because of losing their focus, they have put an end to their marriage, their career, and some have even put an end to their lives… Because of their inability to maintain their focus on God, they focused on their situation, so panic, fear, and anxiety came in! From the Word of God, we understand that what you are feeling now is a result of your focus.

Coming again to the case of the Israelites, he pointed out that while all were disappointed, Caleb, one of the two spies who did not get discouraged, knew God’s view of himself and his people. We understand that when you know you are who God says you are, you will stay focused on your goal alone and nothing can change your focus!

Therefore, if we want to correct our focus, we must apply what is written in Philippians 4:8: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

In conclusion, the man of God stated that no one else is responsible for what you focus on, or where you pay attention! If you realise that you are focusing on the wrong things, it is time to correct your focus and maintain it, because your life depends on how much attention you pay to the Word of God!

THE POWER OF GOD ENTERED HER THROUGH THE RIVER AND BROUGHT HEALING TO HER BODY!

Ms. Lillian’s experience is an ode to faith that derives from God Almighty, a hymn about the power of God and hope. The story of this woman who came and received healing from Jesus Christ is captured in the pages of time as a beautiful healing from the Creator of the universe Himself. Feeling grateful to God, she wanted to give her testimony of all that God had done in her life!

In the early 2000s, Ms. Lillian had to deal with a difficult car accident that would change her life forever. A severe collision let an iron through her leg, leaving her with a deep wound and unbearable pain. Thus, a struggle to find the treatment that would allow her to live a normal life began.

Due to this problem, Ms. Lillian could not wear high heels, something she loved to do, and couldn’t sleep as she wanted because if she did, she would wake up with terrible knee pain. The pain she endured every single day became an insurmountable barrier to her hopes and dreams. Additionally, whenever there was an upcoming breakthrough in her business, the night before she would meet with potential investors, she would see herself in the dream looking for her purse or her shoes. The next day, the deal with people who wanted to invest in the business could not be made, for no reason at all.

Having Jesus Christ involved in her situation, she wanted to visit the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations Thessalonica. When she took part in the biblical tour, with other brothers and sisters from church, she visited the river of Lydia, the first woman baptised by Apostle Paul in Europe! After that day, Ms. Lillian experienced an incredible healing of the problem that had plagued her for years! The moment she put her feet in the river, where the power of God still flows, the noise that her knees would make for years, as well as the pain, became a thing of the past!

After that, nothing is the same in her life! The stagnation that she faced disappeared, as after so many years in Germany, she finally managed to find a job with a good salary, something she thought she did not deserve, because of her lack of knowledge in terms of technology.

Ms. Lillian said that she feels deeply touched and grateful to God for all that He has done in her life. Wanting to encourage those who are facing similar problems, she advised the children of God to draw close to God when going through trials, challenges, and dreams they cannot understand, because He is the solution to every fundamental issue of life! Finally, she promised to remain obedient to the Word of God!

Faith is a powerful force that can bring results and transform our lives. So regardless of the situation you are going through, always remember that only faith pleases God!

“YOU DON’T HAVE A HEALTH ISSUE, YOU JUST NEED WATER!”

Many people today wrongly believe that God is not interested in the little details of our lives. Yet, like the loving Father that He is, He only desires the best for us, as Mr. Paul from Germany came to realise!

“Sometimes, you have a heartache, that is why I prayed there. Do you know why? It’s not because you have a health issue, but because you’re dehydrated. You need water. Every morning when you wake up, drink a lot of water. Also, you need to be careful not to eat too much sugar, but because I’m telling you to drink a lot of water, water will cleanse your whole system. As we prayed, this will go away! I am telling you this so that you can maintain it”, were the words of Prophetess Evgenia. However, the Spirit of God did not stop there, as the Prophetess continued: “I also see idols in the family. You want to move forward, but it is not possible; you remain stagnant. You will be delivered from this today as well. Regarding the dreams you have about snakes, about eating, they all come from these idols to which your ancestors used to sacrifice in the past.”

Delighted after the service, Mr. Paul explained that his stomachache was a frequent occurrence, which was also causing him digestion problems. He had been experiencing this for more than 20 years. He even attributed the cause to the fact that he did not usually drink much water at work. Regarding his consumption of sugar, he did not hesitate to admit that he would eat large quantities of sweets whenever he pleased.

As for his bad dreams, when Mr. Paul would see snakes, the next thing that would happen to him was that he’d get sick! He even recalled the fact that his grandfather used to worship these idols using animal blood!

Lastly, he declared his determination to follow the instruction in righteousness he received, while promising to come closer to his Creator!

What is true in this man’s case is true for you today! Smile, for Jesus cares not only about your inner self, but your outer self as well!

HE WAS HAUNTED BY THE GUILT OF THE PAST!

As Mr. Michal from the Czech Republic came to the Synagogue, Church of All Nations Thessalonica, to experience the presence of God, it had not occurred to him that God was going to dig deep into his past in order to birth a new future within him!

During the laying on of hands, the Holy Spirit spotted him among the crowd through His servant, Prophet Stavros. When the latter started praying for Mr. Michal, a demon manifested from within him and said: “I destroyed him through his parents’ punishment!”.

Later on, after he was delivered from the unclean spirit, he said that he was feeling guilty, because he felt that he had caused harm to his parents, his wife and his children. “There was a constant feeling of guilt, I always felt that my family was not happy because of me, and this led me to consider myself a fake Christian.”

In saying this, he went on to emphasise that this guilt started before he met his wife. Specifically, it was rooted in his childhood, when his parents were verbally abusive towards him. Thus, this guilt affected all kinds of relationships he had later on.

“But now”, Mr. Michal claimed, “I believe that Jesus Christ has delivered me!” Convinced that a great breakthrough had come into his life, he expressed his joy at Jesus Christ’s victory on the Cross, which erased his past and gave him a new life! With a heart full of gratitude, he promised God to continue serving Him and to remain in faith.

The war against all kinds of guilt is over! Jesus Christ, by His blood, has healed us (Isaiah 53:5), both externally and internally!
