OBEDIENCE IS THE KEY

In a sacred atmosphere filled with faith and worship, the believers gathered in the CCOAN – Almere with hearts open to the presence of Jesus Christ. A gentle reverence filled the room, as voices lifted in unified praise carried a deep longing for divine encounter! A holy stillness settled over the congregation, reflecting the spiritual depth and sincerity of their devotion. Hope stirred within each soul, renewing strength and conviction that Jesus Christ reigns eternal—faithful to His promises, and the true light and hope of all humanity!

Then, the Word of God was preached by the Prophet George Athanasiadis with a message that gave clear answers to the believers. The title of the sermon in question was “OBEDIENCE IS THE KEY”.

He referred to the history of man as it begins before… he is even born! From the moment a man is born and grows up, he relies on the instructions of his parents to survive. The latter are the ones who teach him what is right and what is wrong. However, the question arises, is it enough for a child to simply know what is right to be protected? No is the answer, as knowledge is not the key; obedience is!

Of course this also applies to the children of God. Thus, the man of God read from 1 Samuel 10:8 and 13:5-14, “The Philistines assembled to fight Israel, with three thousand chariots, six thousand charioteers, and soldiers as numerous as the sand on the seashore. They went up and camped at Mikmash, east of Beth Aven. When the Israelites saw that their situation was critical and that their army was hard pressed, they hid in caves and thickets. Some Hebrews even crossed the Jordan to the land of Gilead, and all the troops with him were quaking with fear. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal, so he said, “Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” And Saul offered up the burnt offering. Just as he finished making the offering, Samuel arrived, and Saul went out to greet him. “What have you done?” asked Samuel. Saul replied, “When I saw that the men were scattering, and that you did not come at the set time, and that the Philistines were assembling at Mikmash, I thought, ‘Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the Lord’s favor.’ So I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering.” “You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said. “You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

As the Prophet explained, Saul went to the right place, waited for 7 days, and made the sacrifice. However, upon closer study, we understand why his action was considered disobedience by God. We also understand that the Lord is more interested in our obedience than in our sacrifice. Because of this disobedience, therefore, we read in this Bible passage the cost of it, and we see that the cost of disobedience is greater than the cost of obedience.

Then he spoke about the fact that we have all received something from God. However, there is something that many of us are missing, and that is the character of Christ. That is, if you do not have the right character, then the gift of God in your life will burn out, because character is the divine oil that keeps the gift of God in your life burning!

In the end, he closed with a prayer: “Father Lord, in sincerity of heart and life, knowing our need for You, become strength in our weaknesses and help us from today to obey Your Word, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!”

FROM DEPRESSION AND FEELING UNWORTHY TO A CONFIDENT CHILD OF GOD!

Many people spend their lives searching for solutions to their problems, often feeling trapped in difficult circumstances. In those moments, it’s easy to forget that Jesus Christ promised never to let us face more than we can bear. His strength is made perfect in our weakness, and with every challenge, He provides a way through. Trusting in His promise brings hope, peace, and the courage to keep moving forward.

Mr. Robin grew up in a christian home, but school was tough. He was bullied a lot, and it felt like everything in his life was falling apart. At 17 years old, feeling frustrated and hopeless, he made a serious mistake—he gave his life to Satan, asking for a job and sex. The moment he said it, he felt something enter him and his body turned ice cold. From that point, things only got worse. He fell into sexual sin and struggled with dark thoughts—suicidal thoughts, depression, and no sense of purpose. He couldn’t see a future for himself. He didn’t like who he was. Looking in the mirror made him feel disgusted. He felt rejected, not just by others, but even by himself.

Even though he liked learning, school was hard. He couldn’t focus, he had a poor memory, and people around him said he just wasn’t trying hard enough. That made him feel even more defeated.

Later on, he started an I.T. company and got married. But the struggle with lust continued. It nearly destroyed his marriage. He ended up committing adultery. His wife was deeply hurt, emotionally broken, and found it hard to trust him again. In 2017, he had a major anxiety attack. He thought he was having a heart attack and went to the doctor. After that, fear took over—he didn’t even want to leave the house.

His dreams were also full of torment. He kept seeing himself with other women. He felt hopeless, stuck in a cycle of sin and failure. The more he tried to change, the more he fell.

When he found out the ministry was coming to his area, he decided to go. During the prayer line, something began to happen—his heart started racing and his body became hot. He knew something spiritual was happening.

After the prayer, he met with the Man of God, who told him that God had a bright future for him. After the prayer, from that moment on, things began to shift. The depression is gone. The dark thoughts are gone. The nightmares have stopped. His life is no longer what it used to be. He’s been set free! He advised the people of God to run to God because he is the only one who can change us. He promised to continue focusing on God!

There is nothing more ridiculous than allowing your present situation to cause you to doubt the fulfillment of God’s Word or promises for your life! Trust in God and you will see that the best is always yet to come!

“YOU KNOW YOUR CALLING, BUT KNOWING IS NOT ENOUGH!”

Even when we know deep in our hearts what God has called us to do, we often let distractions pull us away from His path. God speaks to us in countless ways—through Scripture, prayer, quiet conviction, etc.—yet the noise of the world clouds our focus. Instead of walking boldly in faith, we allow distractions to stall our journey. But His guidance remains, always waiting for us to return!

Living in Germany, Mr. Awa came to the Christian Church Of All Nations—Almere and participated in the prayer line. At that point, man of God George prophesied to him, “God is ready to use you, but you have to follow the direction of your calling! You have been refusing; you know your calling, but knowing is not enough. You have to follow the direction of your calling; otherwise, it will never be fulfilled. I see no contentment in your life. You have done things, seen things, and experienced things, but you need to experience God! If you don’t do that, you will never be fulfilled. That emptiness you feel in your heart, it will continue forever. At the end, you will regret it. So follow the direction of your calling; you know it. You know what God puts in your heart. He has shown you dreams, people have told you.”

After the service, Mr. Awa confirmed every word of this prophecy. He knows what is his calling, his mission in life. Actually, not only does he have this conviction in his heart, but also his mother has told him about that same calling. In addition, he has also seen 3 dreams in the past, receiving prayer from Prophet T. B. Joshua.

However, he was finding it difficult to spend time daily with the Lord. He was reading his Bible for 1 or 2 days, but after that he couldn’t continue; he was allowing some distractions, issues of his daily routine, to steal quality time that he was supposed to spend with Jesus.

Therefore, there was no contentment in his life. In fact, he was feeling very sad when he could not pray and read God’s Word. He was also experiencing limitations in his career, even though Mr. Awa has a master’s degree.

Now, after this prophetic word brought redemption in his heart, he is happy, and he promised to God to live his life according to His will!

Distractions do not just come into our lives; we accept them first as thoughts in our hearts, and we know that thoughts are like currents moving through the air. They are capable of drawing you towards God or driving you away from God.
