ABOUT US
PROPHET T. B. JOSHUA
Prophet T. B. Joshua is the General Overseer of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN). The Founder is Jesus Christ! He is just one of those who have humbly submitted to the will of God (Isaiah 6:8).
Born on June 12th, 1963, in Ondo State, Nigeria, T. B. Joshua’s journey is a humbling story of how God raised a young man from a poverty-stricken home to lead an international ministry that would attract thousands worldwide to witness the reality of God’s power today!
From dropping out of secondary school in his first year to working in a poultry farm; from teaching little children while attending evening classes to washing people’s legs on the muddy streets of Lagos; from a forty-day fast to receiving a divine call and starting a ministry with a mere eight members – the life of T. B. Joshua is a story of amazing grace and unwavering focus.
More precisely, in 1987, Prophet T. B. Joshua visited a prayer mountain to seek the face of God, where he fasted and prayed for 40 days and 40 nights. Ιn a heavenly vision, he had received divine anointing and a covenant from God to start his ministry. In his own words, he said concerning the life-changing experience:
“… I saw a hand that pointed a Bible to my heart. The Bible entered my heart and my former heart seemed to immerse with the Bible immediately… I heard a voice saying, ‘I am your God. I am giving you a divine commission to go and carry out the work of the Heavenly Father… I would show you the wonderful ways I would reveal myself through you in teaching, preaching, miracles, signs and wonders for the salvation of souls…’ ”
After that, Prophet T. B. Joshua started a church with just a handful of members, naming it ‘The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations’—a name God divinely revealed to him. Since then, the church has grown far beyond the shores of Nigeria. More than 15,000 members attend the weekly Sunday Service, and visitors from outside Nigeria are accommodated in the church facilities.
On March 8th, 2007, Prophet T. B. Joshua founded a Christian television network, called Emmanuel TV. Emmanuel TV is the television station of SCOAN and broadcasts 24/7. Every Sunday Service is broadcast live on Emmanuel TV and its unique programmes are attracting a growing viewership across the world.
Prophet T. B. Joshua was a mentor to presidents yet a friend to the widows and less privileged, a role model to his generation yet a humble and hardworking man, toiling tirelessly for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. His story is an encouragement that there is hope for the weak. He was also mentoring many evangelists from around the world in the church premises, saying: “The biggest reward God can give to His servant… is to make disciples who will do better than what we are presently doing.”
“Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7
On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet T. B. Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service”. God took His servant Prophet T. B. Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.
As Prophet T. B. Joshua said, “The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it”.
Prophet T. B. Joshua left a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn. Here are Prophet TB Joshua’s last words: “Watch and pray”.
“One life for Christ is all we have; one life for Christ is so dear.”
We pray you will be inspired in your journey of faith as you read his story!
