On December 23, 2018, the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations Thessalonica, presented their Christmas celebration. This year the Christmas celebration took on a new, special theme, as the youth of the church and the children of the Sunday School prepared a wonderful Christmas program, which was preformed in the form of a talent contest and was titled “SCOAN THESSALONICA’S GOT TALENT”.
The youth and the smaller children from the Sunday School shared with the congregation their talents in music, dancing, singing and different styles of stand-up comedy. As each scene played out, a climate of love and warmth was created and the attendees enjoyed every minute and lived through unforgettable moments of emotion, laughter and fun.
Although each act touched the hearts of the judges and the audience alike, the winners of the big competition were the small children of the Sunday School who chose to do a theatrical play, through which they showed everyone the real meaning of Christmas!
The story line of the theatrical show portrayed people who celebrated Christmas, each in their own way later emphasizing the fact that a single encounter with Jesus Christ can change the life of every human being. Many people think Christmas is only about shopping, gifts and parties, while we all know that Jesus Christ is the center of Christmas.
So the children reminded us that Christmas is a day of love and forgiveness. That is why they urged us to focus our attention on God Himself and not on His blessings. As children of God, we were born with a purpose to glorify our Lord! So we should be aware that He has a plan for us all, which will be fulfilled when we begin to see the act of giving as a mission given by God!
Therefore, they urged us all to make a difference this year and come closer to God, by practicing the act of giving and acknowledging that it is a mission from God. The reason being is, because whatever God gives us it is given with a single purpose, so that we may share it with those around us! Because the beauty of life is not based on how happy you are, but how happy you make others!
Following the entertaining Christmas celebration, the man of God, Harry, spoke to the congregation and strengthened the faith of all, by saying that there is no problem that Jesus Christ cannot solve, nor is there a disease that Jesus Christ cannot cure. All we need is our faith! When we come with faith in Jesus, we will receive that for which we have come. Faith is a prerequisite for receiving something from God!
The man of God also spoke about the fact that many people today wonder why they are so unlucky, and he stressed that misfortune is an instrument of satan. We all have the choice of choosing between Jesus Christ, who is the Light and the devil that is the darkness. We have the right to choose to serve either in the Kingdom of God or in the kingdom of the devil, always having in mind that there is no neutral kingdom. As we are called upon to make such a serious choice, our problems can be used to help us make the right decision by bringing us closer to God. That is why the man of God gave the following valuable advice to all: “Do not pray that God will take your trouble, but pray for God to save your soul! Jesus came to save souls and within the salvation He offers, there is all that you have been searching for. There is healing, deliverance and breakthrough!”.
Lastly, followed the prayer line and mass prayer. The following photographs are of visitors from different parts of the world who came to the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, believing that Jesus Christ will put an end to their problems and that they will ring in the new year of 2019 delivered, healed and blessed!
