A MAN OF FAITH

It was indeed a blessed day in the presence of God, on Sunday, 15 December 2019. Right from the beginning of the Service, when the worship team of the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations Thessalonica, began to sing hymns, God sent His presence and comforted every soul that needed a divine touch!

Later, the man of God, in his message titled “A MAN OF FAITH”, explained that many of us today ask God why so many unpleasant things happen in our lives. In reality, the temptations we face are not from God but from the adversary. Therefore, if all these years we have yet to receive an answer to the question “Why?” that we ask God, it is simply because He is not the one who tempts us! The Word of God in 1 Corinthians 10:13 clarifies that God will provide a way out so that we can endure it. However, we have a role to play, which is to resist the devil. As men of faith, we need to learn how to recognize temptation, which can come in any form. The man of God mentioned that the problem many of us have is that every time the devil comes to tempt us we fall for it, and the reason behind it is that we have sympathy with sin. Thus, we should not wonder why we fall into temptation whenever we pass through a period of weakness in our life. When Jesus Christ was praying and fasting in the wilderness, the devil knew that He was in a difficult position due to His hunger and he knew exactly how to tempt Him. Nevertheless, Jesus Christ did not fall into temptation since He trusted God for everything and did not have sympathy with sin!

Afterwards, he pointed out that one of the characteristics of men of faith, is peace of mind. A man of faith does things out of peace of mind, not for money, not for popularity, not for fame! This is one of the biggest problems people face today; they tend to do what others around them are doing. David, as we read in 2 Samuel 24:1-16, made the mistake to count his soldiers because that is what the other leaders of the time used to do. However, God was not pleased by this action, since He is the one who grants victory in the end! So, the man of God noted that we should not trust in our outward situation or in numbers or statistics, but we should trust in God in order to achieve our goal! Closing his message, he advised the church, “After you have struggled, laboured, worked hard as a man of faith, God will still have to mark it. If the result of your work is good, give glory to God; if it is the opposite, submit your ways to Him because in every situation God is still saying something!”.

Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Sandra traveled all the way from Australia with their two children in order to join the prayer line, expecting to receive their miracle from Jesus Christ. God Almighty, who is always punctual, did not leave His children without solutions and answers. A week later, on Sunday, 15 December 2019, they came back to the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations Thessalonica, knowing that it is their duty to confirm the prophetic word they received from the man of God and testify before everyone how God Almighty transformed their lives and set them free.

The couple stood in the prayer line and when the man of God prayed for them, the unclean spirit that was tormenting their lives was exposed and cast out, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! Afterwards, the man of God, addressing Mr. Joseph, said the following words: “I am seeing the spirit of anger disturbing you sometimes. This has been in the family before you. Your father, your grandfather… They were good people but when they got angry, it was better for you to run! This anger has affected your wife too because it is from him, it is a spirit that comes to attack and destroy your relationship. When she tells you, ‘Good morning’, you say ‘What do you want?’. And fighting begins… It is the influence of this spirit that affects you both!”. Next, he addressed Mrs. Sandra, saying: “It is a very canny spirit; it makes you think it is ordinary. But it is not ordinary! Not only his family, but your family too, has the same problem. You have inherited some spirits from your relatives that want to cause you confusion. Even though you have a beautiful family, there is fight from within!”. This way, God put an end to the problem Mr. Joseph and his family were facing for all these years.

Filled with gratitude as he was, Mr. Joseph mentioned that the prophetic word is 100% true. From a young age, he and his siblings were severely beaten by their father, who was extremely irritable. Coming from a Christian family and because of his young age, he believed that it was just a way their father was choosing to discipline them, according to the Word of God. Instead of being a friendly and loving fatherly figure, their father was someone who caused them to fear… As time was passing by, Mr. Joseph noticed that the same anger that was in his father, was passed down to his siblings and himself. Later, as adults, their family reunions started with laughter but always ended up quarreling! They would even fight in the streets! Furthermore, Mr. Joseph’s occupation with sports, especially rugby, turned him into an aggressive person which also made him believe that anger was something normal. In his job, he was getting mad every time he was asked to do anything and because of anger, he even threw a cup of coffee on his boss. Also, he was hitting his six children, just like his father was doing to him. Especially his oldest son, who even bled a few times. Even though he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 2005, anger continued to affect his marriage. Whenever he disagreed with his wife, he would beat her until she bled. He would get angry with his wife even when she would tell him good morning – exactly like the man of God prophesied. Many times they were not communicating at all and it seemed impossible to live this way anymore and that his wife would throw him out of the house.

Mrs. Sandra confirmed herself that the prophecy she received was true as well, since her father was extremely irritable, just like her grandfather. Even though her own family was going to church, when this spirit manifested, she was also beaten by her parents as a way of discipline. She was living in fear and anxiety and this continued in her marital life. She was hitting their daughter a lot, in order to discipline her disobedient behavior. In 2005, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as well, and she stopped hitting her children but the anger remained. No matter how much she tried, she was not able to handle it. The problem affected her professional life, as the spirit of anger was not allowing her any progress, breakthrough or prosperity. She was disappointed and crying, praying that God will deliver her. The worst thing was that the spirit was influencing their children. This was the main reason they eventually decided to receive prayer.

Moving on, Mr. Joseph described the moment of his deliverance. As the man of God approached him, he felt heat and anger all over. But when he laid his hand on him, he felt the power of God like never before! Falling down, he felt something coming out of him and instantly, he felt free! Ever since his and his wife’s life changed completely. He is not angry anymore but he is able to control himself and keep his calmness. The relationship with his wife and their communication has been totally restored! They are now happy and with peace in their hearts, exactly how they always desired to live as a couple, as a family and as children of God!

They advised everyone to seek God, trust in Him and base their faith on Him without doubting! Lastly, they promised that from now on they will spend quality time with Him, making the Word of God the standard for their lives.

The devil came to steal, to kill and to destroy but Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil! He came to give life and life in abundance! May His holy name be glorified!
